PDF Creator doesnt open automatically after document created

Good Day

i have been having a problem with pdf creator where a user creates a pdf with pdf creator but it doesnt open automatically.

i have been told by a manager that this is due to adobe reader 8 and we have to upgrade to adobe reader 9.

can someone please confirm if this is the case?
